Every LuxeVita installation follows a meticulous 7-step process designed to deliver a floor that looks stunning and lasts for decades. No shortcuts. No surprises.
Everything starts with a conversation. We schedule a no-obligation, on-site consultation at your home or business in the Brooksville area. Jake or one of our senior installers comes to you — no pressure, no sales tactics.
During the visit, we assess your existing floor condition, take precise measurements, discuss your design preferences, and walk you through our full sample portfolio. We answer every question you have about materials, timeline, and process.
Within 24 hours, you'll receive a detailed written quote that breaks down every line item. We believe in complete transparency — what you see in the quote is exactly what you pay.
What to expect as the homeowner:
Budget 30–60 minutes for the walkthrough. Have a rough idea of your preferred finish (we bring samples). No prep needed on your end for this visit.
A flawless epoxy floor starts with proper preparation — and this is where most low-cost installers cut corners. We send you a detailed homeowner prep checklist the week before your install date so you know exactly what to do (and what to leave to us).
You'll need to clear the floor area of vehicles, boxes, and large items. We handle all furniture moving and reinstallation. We also require that the space be at a stable temperature (above 50°F) and free of moisture concerns — we'll help you assess this during consultation.
Our crew arrives with a complete equipment checklist: diamond grinders, moisture meters, mixing equipment, proper PPE, and all materials pre-measured for your specific square footage.
What to expect as the homeowner:
Clear the floor of small items. Plan to be home for crew arrival. Budget for the driveway/garage to be inaccessible for 24–48 hours.
The most critical phase of any epoxy installation is surface preparation. We use industrial diamond grinding equipment to profile the concrete to the correct CSP (Concrete Surface Profile) — typically CSP 2–3 — which creates the mechanical bond that makes epoxy adhere permanently.
During grinding, we simultaneously remove existing sealers, oil stains, paint, and any weak surface layer. We then vacuum with HEPA-filtered equipment to eliminate all concrete dust before proceeding. Dust left behind is an invisible enemy to epoxy adhesion.
Any cracks, spalls, or divots are filled and repaired using epoxy-based repair compounds that cure to the same hardness as the surrounding concrete, ensuring a perfectly flat canvas.
What to expect as the homeowner:
Expect noise during this phase (1–3 hours depending on size). The grinding equipment is self-contained, but we recommend keeping pets and children away from the work area.
With the concrete properly profiled, we apply a penetrating epoxy primer coat. This primer soaks into the open pores of the concrete, chemically bonding to the substrate and creating the foundation layer that everything above it relies on.
For metallic systems, we apply a pigmented base coat in your chosen color that also acts as an opacity layer. For flake and solid systems, this base coat carries the primary color. We apply each coat at the exact mil thickness specified by the manufacturer — not more, not less — because improper thickness leads to premature failure.
We use commercial-grade, 100% solids epoxy (not water-based or low-VOC compromises) for maximum hardness, chemical resistance, and longevity. The difference in quality is measurable and visible.
What to expect as the homeowner:
The area will be sealed off while coats cure. Primer/base coat cure windows are typically 12–24 hours before the next coat. Temperature and humidity affect cure times slightly.
This is where your floor transforms into a work of art. The design layer process varies by system type, and each requires its own specialized technique developed through hundreds of installations.
For metallic epoxy, we apply metallic pigment mixed into a clear epoxy carrier and use a combination of a spike roller, heat gun, and proprietary manipulation techniques to create swirls, waves, and three-dimensional effects. No two metallic floors are ever identical.
For flake systems, we broadcast vinyl flake chips by hand across the wet base coat to your chosen blend and density, then remove any loose chips once cured before proceeding to topcoat.
For solid color systems, we apply a second pigmented coat to ensure full, even coverage with no holidays or thin spots visible in raking light.
What to expect as the homeowner:
This is the most visually exciting phase. We're happy to have you watch from a safe distance. The wet floor will look very bright and reflective — colors deepen slightly once the topcoat is applied.
Every LuxeVita floor receives a minimum of two coats of commercial-grade polyaspartic topcoat. This is the protective armor layer and the single biggest differentiator between a floor that looks great at 1 year versus a floor that still looks great at 15 years.
Polyaspartic is a next-generation technology that outperforms standard polyurethane in UV stability (no yellowing), abrasion resistance, chemical resistance, and cure speed. It's what's used on commercial showroom floors and airport terminals — and it's what protects every floor we install.
We offer multiple sheen levels from satin to high-gloss depending on your preference. For garage and commercial applications, we apply anti-slip aggregate directly into the topcoat on the first pass, then seal it clean with the second coat for grip without rough texture.
What to expect as the homeowner:
The topcoat phase has a brief window before it sets, so we work quickly and methodically. Once applied, the floor needs an undisturbed cure of 18–24 hours minimum.
Once the floor has fully cured, we conduct a thorough quality inspection before we walk you through the finished product. We check for any inconsistencies, thin spots, or surface imperfections and address them on the spot. We don't leave until the floor meets our standards.
You'll receive a complete care and maintenance guide, your official warranty documentation, and a product spec sheet for the materials used on your floor. We go over proper cleaning protocols, what to avoid, and how to care for your investment so it stays looking new for years.
You'll have direct contact information for your installer. If anything ever concerns you in the first 12 months — or under the 3-year warranty — one call gets us back on-site, no runaround.
What to expect as the homeowner:
Budget 30–45 minutes for the walkthrough. You can use the floor for foot traffic within 24 hours. Full vehicle weight is safe after 72 hours. We'll remind you of these timelines at the walkthrough.
Every project is different, but here's what most homeowners experience from first contact to finished floor.
To ensure your installation day goes smoothly, here's what we ask you to have ready before our crew arrives.
You don't need to do any floor prep. No acid etching, no cleaning, no sanding. Our crew arrives fully equipped to handle all surface preparation from the moment we walk in.
